Laguna is like the sheet Indigo a silkscreen where slikscreening combines with digital technology.
The motif developed with a digital camera and has been scanned while being still wet. The image could be edited with a computer, afterwards the screens for the silkscreen have been produced.
The ultramarine, a pigment of Farbmühle Kremer, was applied in two tiers. After drying followed two screens of black finish. The paper is from Nepal, where small manufacturers at the Himalaya produce it by hand. Every sheet is drying there in the sun. The paper for Laguna was smoothed and gets a silky surface. Every sheet is individual, because the embeddings of the paper vary from sheet to sheet.
